WHO WE ARE

SVGA supports people with intellectual disabilities through education, day programs, and creative activities. Their mission is to empower individuals and encourage self-expression.  

​Their initiative “Expresa bo mes cu música!” introduces music lessons tailored for their participants. By learning instruments, singing, and rhythm games, individuals gain new skills and confidence while teachers are trained to support their growth.  

  

WHAT WE DO

Core Goals:  

  • Self-Empowerment: Encourage self-expression and self-regulation among mentally disabled individuals 

  • Creative Expansion: Introduce music lessons to enhance motor skills, cognitive development, and social interaction 

​Key Projects:  

Expresa bo mes cu música! 

  • Objective: Provide tailored music lessons to mentally disabled individuals.  

  • Activities: Music lessons focusing on self-expression, singing, experimenting with sounds, rhythm games, and more.  

  • Training: Train local teachers in providing music lessons suitable for the target group 

 

WHO WE SERVE

Children, youth, and adults with intellectual disabilities who benefit from structured, creative learning environments. 

  • SVGA participants enrolled in education and day programs, with a focus on those who gain from music-based self-expression. 

  • Local educators and caregivers who are trained to better support the personal, social, and creative development of people with intellectual disabilities.
