WHO WE ARE

Cas di Cultura, Aruba’s theater and cultural center since 1958, serves as a cultural anchor and information hub for the community. The center is dedicated to diversity and inclusion, facilitating connections between people and realizing fantastic projects with a small but driven team. 

 

WHAT WE DO

While their building is under renovation, Cas di Cultura continues reaching the community through Cas di Cultura on Tour, offering live events in new locations, online workshops, and livestreams. They also run programs like KITA & Art Explorers for children, Battle of the Bands for young musicians, and Bario Beatz to engage youth in urban arts. 

 

1. Cas di Cultura on Tour 

• Description: During the renovation period, Cas di Cultura plans to continue its programming by organizing events in alternative locations or outdoor spaces. This includes live streams of performances, virtual exhibitions, and interactive online workshops. 

• Impact: Ensures the continuity of cultural contributions and maintains engagement with the community.

2. KITA & Art Explorers 

• Description: KITA (Kids Intro to Art) and Art Explorers are projects launched to meet the needs of parents with young children by offering introductory art lessons. These programs have been expanded to cater to children aged 6 to 9. 

• Impact: Stimulates curiosity and creativity in children through various art forms, providing a platform for artistic discovery.

3. Little Stars 

• Description: A theater festival for elementary schools, where children create and perform their versions of well-known fairy tales. 

• Impact: Encourages children’s participation in theater, fostering creativity and teamwork.

4. Battle of the Bands 

• Description: An event launched in 2024 to support and promote young musicians, offering them a platform to develop their talents and gain stage experience. 

• Impact: Provides young musicians with opportunities to showcase their talents and gain recognition.

5. Bario Beatz Project 

• Description: A project aimed at creating opportunities for youth in disadvantaged neighborhoods through urban arts, such as vlogging, dancing, rap, and more. 

• Impact: Engages youth who are not typically involved with Cas di Cultura, promoting inclusivity and artistic expression.
