WHO WE ARE

For this project, there is no specific match with a social organization. In this case the team of Let’s ACT will provide support for both creative organizations in the process towards their establishments. As a reminder, the team of Let’s ACT in Sint Maarten consists of a cooperation between Sint Maarten Development Fund and Foresee Foundation.

 

The Let’s Talk Art foundation focuses on cultivating creative dialogue and actively showcases diverse creative talents. Through the enhancement of community engagement by hosting regular events, publishing a yearly magazine and upholding a website, they also promote sustainable careers within the Culture & Creative Industry in the long run and foster collaboration & awareness in the community.

The SXM Creatives Guild is an association that is focused on inspiring the SXM community by developing, supporting, and providing quality inclusive opportunities for persons in the creative industry. They will start to accumulate a pool of members from the creative industry.

 

WHAT WE DO

This project is designed to allow both organizations to be formally established as entities. The appointment of board members and recruitment of members (for the association), plus the drafting of an annual plan for 2025 is part of this project. Costs that are related and covered under this budget are the notary and Chamber of Commerce registration costs. Additionally, the costs that are associated with the setting up of a bank account, the creation of a logo and related graphics, the marketing and communication, and the recruitment for the membership drive are included in the coverage of this budget.

 

WHO WE SERVE

For this project, we can consider the creatives on Sint Maarten one of the target groups and beneficiaries. Due to the establishment of an association that is geared towards supporting SXM creatives, they will directly benefit from this guild. Additionally, the creatives will benefit from the community engagement that is planned, educating the island society about the arts and its importance. In the long run, this heightened visibility, support, integration and understanding for this professional group and the arts themselves, will lift up the overall island society into an orange (creative) economy.
