WHO WE ARE

Stichting Hunto provides therapeutic art projects that promote self-expression, community building, and emotional healing. The foundation focuses on creating inclusive art projects within intramural addiction treatment centers and offering art therapy for children and youth with psychiatric disorders.

  

WHAT WE DO

Mural Art Project in Intramural Addiction Treatment Center 

Objective: To engage patients in a creative process that is therapeutic and contributes to the beautification of their living environment. 

 

Goals: 

  • Self-Expression: Allow patients to express their feelings and experiences through art. 

  • Therapeutic Benefits: Use art to reduce stress, increase self-awareness, and promote emotional healing. 

  • Community Building: Foster collaboration and interaction among patients to strengthen the sense of community. 

  • Environmental Enhancement: Create an inspiring and aesthetically pleasing environment that contributes to the well-being of patients. 

  • Target Group: Residents of the addiction treatment center, including those recovering from alcohol, drug, and other substance addictions. 

 

Art Therapy for Children and Youth with Psychiatric Disorders 

  • Objective: To use art therapy as a means to improve the emotional and psychological well-being of children and youth diagnosed with psychiatric disorders. 

Goals: 

  • Emotional Expression: Help participants express their feelings and emotions safely and creatively. 

  • Stress Reduction: Offer techniques to reduce stress and anxiety. 

  • Self-Confidence Building: Enhance self-esteem and confidence through the creation of artworks. 

  • Improved Communication: Promote non-verbal communication for those who struggle with verbal expression. 

  • Enhanced Problem-Solving Skills: Encourage creative thinking and problem-solving. 

  • Target Group: Children and youth aged 6-18 with psychiatric disorders such as depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, and trauma-related disorders.

 

WHO WE SERVE

Stichting Hunto targets a diverse group of participants, including: 

  • Residents of Addiction Treatment Centers: Engaging them in therapeutic and community-building art projects. 

  • Children and Youth with Psychiatric Disorders: Providing them with a supportive environment to express themselves through art. 

  • Local Artists and Therapists: Involving professionals as instructors and mentors for the projects. 

  • Broader Community: Encouraging community involvement and support for the projects
