WHO WE ARE

Bataya Escolar engages students in creative, cultural, and academic activities aimed at inspiring excellence and cultural pride in young people.

Through a yearly island-wide competition, schools compete against each other to discover if the students paid attention in class. Students are tested on their school curriculum knowledge, and they play creative physical games that assess their basic skills, creativity and teamwork.

Cultural Competitions  

These competitions aim to highlight students' talents and foster a sense of cultural pride and creativity.  

Impact: Encourages engagement in cultural activities, develops artistic skills, promotes cultural heritage, and brings fun back into learning.

Academic Competitions  

Quizzes and physical challenges designed to stimulate academic interest and excellence among students.  

Impact: Promotes critical thinking, public speaking, and overall academic achievement.

Each barrio on the island is represented, ensuring community involvement and support.
